Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using PermitPilot (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

PermitPilot provides workflow guidance and document management assistance for permit and approval processes. The Service is designed to assist with understanding and organizing permit workflows; it does not constitute professional regulatory, legal, engineering, or architectural advice.

3. No guarantee of approval

PermitPilot provides source-cited workflow assistance only. Final approvals, permits, and licences are granted solely by the relevant government authority (City of Calgary, Alberta Health Services, Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis, etc.). PermitPilot does not guarantee any outcome of any regulatory process.

4. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to keep playbooks, requirement lists, and citations current. However, municipal bylaws, provincial codes, and regulatory requirements change. Users are responsible for verifying requirements against current official sources before relying on them for submissions.

5. User responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide. You are responsible for all documents uploaded to the Service. You must not use the Service to submit false or misleading information to any government authority.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code in the Service is owned by PermitPilot Inc. or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PermitPilot Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9. Changes to terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
